ClassNK Awarded New Authorization
ClassNK (Chairman and President Noboru Ueda) has announced that the Portuguese Flag Adminstration (Instituto Portuário e dos Transportes Marítimos, I.P) and ClassNK entered into an agreement on 29 August 2012. Under the agreement, the Society is now able to perform surveys and issue certificates in accordance with SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Line and other international conventions to all Portuguese flagged vessels and Madeiran flagged vessels, on behalf of those flags administrations.
