Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced the launch of its biannual safety campaign targeting all MOL-operated vessels, starting October 1.

As part of these efforts, President Muto, executives and other personnel will concentrate their visits on MOL-operated vessels to meet onboard employees and exchange information and opinions about ways to prevent incidents based on the following campaign outline. Proposals and ideas gained during the campaigns, which are based on preselected themes and held twice every year, will be shared throughout the MOL Group and with other Group-operated vessels, to further enhance the MOL safe-operation structure.

Outline of campaign

1. Campaign period
October 1 to November 15, 2013

2. Specific topics for opinion and in formation exchange
The discussion will focus on "Enhancement of Teamwork” Company representatives and crewmembers on board will exchange opinions about how to increase the strength of the team through synergy of three key concepts — “communication,” “sharing experience,” and “mutual complement” This idea grew out of the previous campaign (April 15–May 31). The campaign will also promote cooperation between vessels and land-based offices, and foster a company-wide safe operation culture by enhancing the strength of MOL as a team.

3 .Target vessels
MOL-operated vessels (dry bulkers, tankers, LNG carriers, car carriers, containerships)
MOL Group company-operated vessels (ferries, cruise ships, etc)
