Iga Swaatek, who is a determined player, came back from the brink to win the Korea Open title. She survived a scare in the first game before defeating Russian Ekaterina Alexova with a score of 1-6 7-6(3) and 7-5. Swiatek looked out of place in the first two sets.

Artemis Racing, the Swedish sailing team, announced Friday that it will be entering the SailGP Championship in 2026. Artemis SailGP will be the team name and it will be headed by British Olympic Gold medalist Iain Percy. This is the 13th international team in the league.

Hermanus Yacht Club won the Lipton Challenge Cup in Cape Town, South Africa, for the first time ever. The sailing regatta has been held since 1909 and is steeped with history. The five-day regatta was hosted by the defending champion Royal Cape Yacht Club, Africa's premier regatta.
