Tunisia purchases soft wheat tenders worth 100,000 T, traders claim

Posted to Maritime Reporter on June 13, 2025

European traders reported that the Tunisian state grain agency purchased around 100,000 metric tonnes of soft wheat from origins other than Tunisia in a Friday international tender.

The 75,000 tonnes sought in the tender was exceeded.

Grain Star, a trading house, sold two consignments of 25,000 tons at a cost per ton estimated to be $243.00. Freight included was also included.

Raya sold another 25,000 tonnes at $248.27 per ton C&F and Buildcom sold 25,000 tonnes at $243.77 per ton C&F.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.

The tender requested shipment between July 1 and 10 August depending on the origin provided. Michael Hogan reports.
