Tunisia receives offers for 125,000 tons of soft wheat tender, traders report

Initial assessments by European traders suggest that the lowest price offered at Thursday's international tender for 125,000 metric tonnes of soft?wheat from Tunisia was $255.77 per ton, including freight and cost.

They said that the lowest wheat offer, believed to be 25,000 tons from Bulgarian trading company Buildcom, was submitted by them.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.

No purchase has been made yet. If the conditions are not attractive, then even the lowest offer may not be accepted.

Buildcom offered $256.27 to purchase a 25,000-ton soft wheat consignment, and $256.77 to purchase two other consignments and $257.77 for a third.

Finagrit and Dreyfus offered consignments at $256.16 each, while Dreyfus's was at $257.02. Bunge made a "all or nothing" offer at $258.86 for the entire 125,000 tons.

The traders reported that the lowest bid was $317.99 per ton for 100,000 tons of durum wheat, which was also included in the tender.

The goal is to ship all grains by 2026.

Five 25,000-ton consignments of wheat are required for shipment between 15 January and 5 March, depending on the origin provided.

Durum in four 25,000 ton consignments is required for shipment between January 5 and February 20.

Five 25,000-ton barley consignments are needed for shipment between January 10 to March 20 depending on the origin.
