BMT Awarded NDLO Ship Design Contract
BMT Defence Services Ltd , a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, has announced that it has been confirmed as design contractor for the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation ’s (NDLO) logistics and support vessel (LSV), supported by sister companies BMT Reliability Consultants Ltd and BMT Isis Ltd. The auxiliary vessel, designed to cover a multitude of roles and to be built by DSME in their Okpo yard, will measure 180 metres in length, 26 metres in beam, and have a displacement of over 26,000tonnes.
BMT Expands Operations Team
BMT Scientific Marine Services announced an expansion of its operations team with the appointment of Phil Hart as the new Vice President of Operations and Jeffrey Lewis as Vice President - Client Support Operations. Phil has over 17 years of experience in the offshore industry, including project management, technology development, designing and implementing new product lines and company revenue streams, building and directing multiple cross-functional teams, and budgeting.

BMT Reports Strong Full Year Performance
BMT Group Ltd (BMT), the international design, engineering and risk management consultancy, has announced another strong financial performance for the year to September 30, 2012. By focusing on markets where it can deliver high-value customer solutions, revenues from BMT’s continuing businesses rose 22% to £156m and underlying operating profits increased to £13.7m, a proportion of which has been distributed to the staff through the company’s profit share schemes.

BMT Strain Measurement Awarded Patent
BMT Scientific Marine Services (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, has been granted a patent for its strain measurement system and unique attachment scheme that can be integrated into the insulation layer on ultra-deep water Steel Catenary Risers (SCRs). U.S. Patent No. 7,891,254 recognizes the device and method, invented by BMT’s riser engineers, that monitors strain on steel pipes with reduced or eliminated disruption of the insulation layer that covers the pipe.
BMT Wins Caspian Sea Forecasting Contract
BMT ARGOSS (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, has secured a long-term contract to provide an oil major with weather forecasting services for all its North Caspian Sea operations, both offshore and onshore. Fast Crew Boat Design: BMT Wins Penguin Contract
BMT Group subsidiary, BMT Nigel Gee, contracted to design two 25-metre Fast Crew Boats for Penguin International Ltd. Penguin Shipyard International, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore-based crewboat builder and operator, Penguin International Limited. Penguin is building the two BV classed, 70-passenger Fast Crew Boats for ARCO Marine and Oilfield Services for deployment in Nigeria’s offshore oil and gas industry. Delivery of the vessels is expected in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Three BMT Nigel Gee Design WSV's Launched
Three new Windfamrm Support Vessels (WSV) built to BMT Nigel Gee designs launched in 10 days from three different shipyards. The vessels range from a 19.4m propeller driven conventional catamaran design to a 26m Extreme Semi-Swath (XSS), fitted with active motion damping systems consisting of T-Foils and interceptors. Sea trials for two of the vessels have been completed, both of which have met all expected performance criteria.
