Damen Signs with KS&EW for Another ASD Tug
Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract with Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW) for the materials package of a third ASD Tug 2009 under the Damen Technical Cooperation (DTC). The order follows a contract of two ASD Tugs 2009 signed in July 2019. KS&EW are building all three vessels with Damen’s support.Construction of the first two vessels is now underway, following a steel cutting ceremony held on October 11, in Karachi.

Heavy-lift jack-up vessel Innovation, one of DEME’s DP2 installation vessels, left Damen Verolme Rotterdam shipyard in early September 2019 following a major refit. Innovation spent several months in the Verolme shipyard undergoing renewal of its aft leg sections and an overhaul of its jacking motors.Innovation measures 147.5 meters in length and operates on an electrical rack & pinion jacking system.

Caspian Offshore Construction has recently taken delivery of a Damen Stan Tug 1606 ICE class in Kazakhstan.
