New Maritime AI Innovation Lab Targets Improved Ship Design and Operations
A consortium of Damen, TU Delft, SafeSystems, RH Marine, NHL Stenden University of Applied Science and MARIN kicked off the Maritime AI Innovation Lab. This new lab provides a unique and modular development environment for the entire maritime industry and aims to improve designs and operations of future ships.Its broad approach includes physical modeling and measurements on scale models, simulators and in actual operations.
Friede & Goldman Model Tests Its BargeRack Solution

MARIN, IHC Assess DP for Autonomous SOV Project
MARIN and Royal IHC completed the dynamic positioning (DP) assessment tests for the autonomous-enabled T60-18 service operation vessel (SOV) at MARIN’s basins in Wageningen, The Netherlands.For the project, which is part-funded by a subsidy from TKI Wind Op Zee, shipbuilder IHC has developed technology that will allow one of its SOVs to navigate safely through an offshore wind farm and provide access to the turbines.
