The United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida issued a press release stating that a Florida man was indicted for inducing or encouraging aliens to enter the United States and transferring a false mariner's license to one of the aliens. The man was a shipping agent in Miami who contracted with ship owners to provide crewmembers. He allegedly sent letters to U.S. government officials stating that certain aliens were guaranteed employment on various vessels when he knew such statements to be false. Source: HK Law
