November 21, 2005

Shipbuilding company ABG Shipyard has a substantial order book and looks attractively priced too, according to a Business Standard report. Shipping logistics companies are expected to boom, as growing imports into the country to feed economic growth have provided them with many opportunities. To make the best of both the growing business opportunity and a booming stock market, ABG shipyard is next in line with a public issue. Engaged in the manufacture and repair of marine ships for commercial and government customers, ABG plans to expand its operations. The company plans to utilize the profits of this project to set up a shipyard at Dahej in Gujarat, which will have the capacity to build vessels up to 120,000 DWT and commission the same in 2008.
