MacGregor Equipment for ESL's Eco-bulker Duo

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has confirmed an important order to deliver hatch covers, cranes, deck machinery and steering gear to two new 25,600 dwt dual-fuelled handysize bulk carriers for Finnish owner ESL Shipping. The ice-class vessels are the first to be built to new classification society rules introduced January 2016. The ships have been designed to set new standards in efficiency and environmental performance and introduce liquefied natural gas-powered bulkers to the market. For each vessel MacGregor will deliver three K3030-4 mechanical grab cargo cranes with a safe working load of 30 tonnes at 30m outreach, design and key components package for multi folding-type hatch covers (6+6), electrically-driven Hatlapa deck machinery and Porsgrunn steering gear.

MacGregor K50 Cranes Ordered from Indonesia

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has won an order for two 50-metric-ton SWL versions of its heavy-duty grab cranes. The K5036-4HD MacGregor cranes are destined for a 68m floating crane barge, which is being built by Batam-based PT. Karya Tekhnik Utama (KTU), in Indonesia. “Indonesia has one of the world’s fastest growing bulk export industries, and this order further increases our presence in this significant market,” said Anders Berencsy, Sales Manager for Transloading cranes at MacGregor.

MacGregor Provides Flexible Cement Handling

A new self-loading/unloading cement carrier for Japanese Taiheiyo Engineering Co will feature MacGregor cement handling systems designed to carry three grades of cement at a rated capacity of 1,000t/h. MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured a new order for autonomous loading and unloading systems for an 8,700 dwt cement carrier to be built for Japanese shipowner Taiheiyo Kisen Kaisha Ltd. "The totally enclosed cement handling arrangements will ensure flexible, efficient and clean cargo operations," said Anders Berencsy, Sales Manager, Selfunloaders at MacGregor. The 109m vessel will have four cargo holds, each divided into two compartments. The cement handling system is designed to carry up to three grades of cement in each shipment.

Cement Carrier Cargo Handling Orders for MacGregor

Two new 20,000 dwt cement carriers on order in China will feature advanced MacGregor cement handling systems. MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured an order with Shanhaiguan New Shipbuilding Industry in China for advanced bulk-handling systems for a pair of 20,000 dwt cement carriers on order for Singapore based Associated Bulk Carriers (ABC) which is a fully owned subsidiary of dry cargo shipowner Precious Shipping PCL, Thailand. Precious Shipping operates in the small handy-size sector of the tramp freight market.
