Rem Offshore Announces New PSV Contracts

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Rem Offshore on Tuesday announced it has secured multiple contracts for several of its platform supply vessels (PSV).Rem Cetus, Rem Insula and Rem Server have been extended for one year with Apache North Sea Limited in the U.K. sector. DOF Secures North Sea PSV Contracts

DOF Group said it has secured an extension with Maersk UK for 2011-built platform supply vessel (PSV) Skandi Gamma until the end of 2016 and for 2003-built PSV Skandi Caledonia with Apache North Sea Ltd until mid-January 2017.

TWMA Bags £1.5 mln North Sea Contract with Apache

Global integrated drilling waste management and environmental services firm, TWMA, has recently secured a £1.5 million contract with Apache on the WilPhoenix platform in the North Sea Beryl field. N.Sea Forties Echo Accident Investigation Ongoing

An investigation into the extent of any damage caused to the Forties Echo platform in the North Sea is still underway, a spokesman for operator Apache North Sea said on Tuesday.   The platform, which is in the British section of the North Sea, was struck by a supply vessel on Monday morning, triggering emergency procedures including a shutdown of production.   The spokesman was unable to give a restart date for production, saying it would depend on the outcome of the investigation. "The team is trying to determine exactly what happened," he said.   The rest of the Forties system is still producing as normal, he added.     (Reporting by Claire Milhench; Editing by Pravin Char)

N. Sea Forties Echo Platform Shut after Collision

The Forties Echo platform in the North Sea has been shut after being hit by a supply vessel, a spokesman for operator Apache North Sea said on Monday. Fifteen workers were taken off the platform and transferred to the nearby Forties Bravo platform following the collision, which happened at about 0840 GMT on Monday morning, the spokesman said. Another 15 remain on the platform. The spokesman also confirmed there had been no leak of hydrocarbons, but was unable to give a restart date for production. EnerMech Secures $53.4m Cranes Contracts

EnerMech has secured six new or renewed cranes and lifting contracts in the UK North Sea sector valued in excess of $53.4 million. The Aberdeen headquartered mechanical engineering group agreed extensions to contracts with Apache North Sea, Maersk Oil and Marathon Oil, and first time or additional workscopes with Centrica Storage/HRL, Aker Solutions and a number of projects on behalf of Technip. The contract wins follows publication of the company’s latest accounts to December 2013 which reveal a 40% upswing in turnover, breaking the $314 million mark for the first time.

EnerMech Lands North Sea Contract

EnerMech s been awarded a £6.6 million contract by Apache North Sea Ltd. to supply and install four new Blow- Out Preventer (BOP) handling cranes on the Forties Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta platforms. The project, which will deliver four Stahl cranes and is expected to be completed by Q1 2013, will be serviced by a dedicated engineering team from EnerMech’s Aberdeen-based cranes division. The contract award builds on a number of existing multi-million pound crane operations and maintenance contracts held by mechanical engineering company EnerMech and represents a significant investment in the offshore infrastructure owned and operated by Apache.

TCO UK Completes Work for Apache North Sea Ltd

Aberdeen-based TCO In-Well Technologies UK Limited, a provider of well completion technologies to the global oil & gas industry, has successfully completed a Glass Barrier System well opening application for Apache North Sea Limited. The operation, thought to be worth a five figure sum, involved TCO UK’s patented TDP-I Glass Plug being deployed on the Apache operated Forties Delta Platform on well FD3-5. The plug was used to isolate the reservoir allowing the operator to test for integrity before opening the well. Joel Rodriguez, senior completions engineer at Apache, said: “The TCO TDP-I plug, set at almost 4000 meters at 71 degrees, opened on the prescribed pressure cycle, eliminating the need for an additional intervention run.

Major North Sea Contract Win for Expro

International oilfield service company Expro has been awarded a multi-million pound contract by Apache North Sea Ltd in the UK North Sea following completion of a competitive tender process. The contract, worth approximately $7.5m annually, mainly covers work on the Forties field. It sees Expro providing wireline services and establishing an alliance with another leading provider to deliver coiled tubing and pumping services for Apache. In total, 24 offshore employees will be dedicated to this contract. The contract has a firm duration of three years with two optional one-year extensions.
