ENSCO Updates Contract Status of Offshore Rig Fleet

Santa Fe Intl. Plans Mid-Quarter Update Call

Santa Fe International Corporation will conduct its regular Mid-Quarter Conference Call to update its rig fleet contract status on Wednesday, September 12, 2001, at 10:00 AM CDT/11:00 AM EDT. Richard J. Hoffman, Vice President, Investor Relations, will conduct the call. Items of discussion will include but not be limited to the company's 3rd Quarter earnings projection, rig contract status and responses to questions from outside participants concerning subject matter discussed on the call. Rowan Provides Contract Status of Offshore Rigs

Rowan Companies, Inc. announced that the current contract status of its offshore drilling fleet. In the Gulf of Mexico: Gorillas II, III, IV and VI are each operating under well-to-well contracts. Eastern Canada - Gorilla V completed a one-well contract on September 18 and is now in Halifax Harbor. Though the outlook for 2003 is favorable, the near-term outlook for additional work offshore eastern Canada is uncertain. North Sea - Gorilla VII completed a contract as an accommodation unit on September 12 and is currently under contract for a short-term construction program in the Norwegian Sector. With several bids in process, the near-term outlook for additional work in the North Sea, while uncertain, is, for the moment, more promising than eastern Canada.

Chevron Shipping Awards Oil, LNG Contract to GAC

US-based Chevron Shipping Company (CSC) has awarded  the Dubai-based GAC Group a global three-year ship agency contract for both crude and LNG vessels. The new agreement secures the provider of shipping, logistics and marine services GAC’s status as Chevron’s exclusive global agent in a partnership that spans more than 20 years, more than 15 of which have seen GAC as its sole global agent. Operations will be overseen by GAC Hub Agency offices in Dubai, Houston and Singapore with support from GAC’s network of offices and approved agents worldwide.

NTSB Issues Report on 2016 Columbia River Bulker Grounding

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued a report on its investigation into the November 2016 grounding of the bulk carrier Nenita in the Columbia River. The Marshall Islands-flagged vessel was fully laden when it suffered an engine failure that impacted its ability to maneuver and subsequently ran aground at Three Tree Point on the Washington State side of the river. The ship’s bulbous bow and hull were damaged, but no injuries or pollution were reported. The vessel was towed to Longview, Wash.

Transocean Provides New Fleet Update Summary

Transocean Inc. issued a new monthly fleet update summary covering only newly signed contracts, significant changes to existing contracts and changes to estimated out of service time of 60 days or more since our fleet status report dated August 5, 2008. Latest Transocean Offshore Rig Status Report

Transocean's latest comprehensive Fleet Status Report provides the current status and contract information for the company's entire fleet of offshore drilling rigs. The total value of new contracts since the December 18, 2013 Fleet Update Summary is approximately $48 million. GSF Arctic III - Awarded a two-well contract in the U.K. sector of the North Sea at a dayrate of $410,000 ($48 million estimated backlog). The rig's prior dayrate was $339,000. Sedco Energy and Transocean Marianas, ultra-deepwater and deepwater floaters, respectively, are idle.

Diamond Offshore to Release Quarterly Fleet Status Report

Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. informs it will issue its future fleet status reports each calendar quarter concurrent with the release of its quarterly earnings.   Diamond Offshore has historically issued its fleet status reports on a monthly basis, but has decided to change to quarterly reporting to better protect sensitive customer and contract information in light of competitive dynamics in the offshore drilling industry, the company explained.
