TechnipFMC Says Vessel Contract with Petrobras 'Significant'

Oilfield services giant TechnipFMC has shed more light on vessel contracts it recently secured with Petrobras in Brazil in cooperation with the Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF.DOF last week said it had, in JV with TechnipFMC, secured three-year contracts for two pipelay support vessels Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi, without sharing further details on the scope of work awarded nor on the value.TechnipFMC on Tuesday issued a separate statement in which it said the contracts were "significant" which for TechnipFMC means as having a value between $75 million and $250 million.The Brazilian-built and flagged vessels are owned by DOFCON Navegação Ltda, a 50/50 JV between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea.

Petrobras Awards 3-year Deals for DOF/TechnipFMC PLSV Duo

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has contracted awarded contracts for two pipelay support vessels owned by DOF and TechnipFMC.Oslo-listed DOF Subsea said Tuesday that the contracts, for three years each, are for the vessels Skandi Vitória and Skandi Niteroi, secured via JV partner TechnipFMC and via Norskan Offshore, respectively.Both vessels are Brazilian-built and flagged and owned by DOFCON Navegação Ltda., a joint venture between DOF Subsea (50%) and TechnipFMC (50%).Operations will start in February 2022 at the latest. No financial details were shared.Skandi Vitória was the first pipelay vessel built in Brazil, equipped with vertical and horizontal pipelay systems, a 250-tonne crane and two work ROVs (remotely operated vehicles).

Vard Order Intake Zooms

With 13 new contracts secured in Q4 2017, VARD Holdings Limited's order intake of NOK 3.79 billion in the quarter increased the full year order intake ended December 31, 2017 to NOK 8.28 billion. The new contracts include a luxury polar expedition cruise vessel for a return customer, PONANT. The vessel is the first electric hybrid cruise icebreaker with dual fuel propulsion, featuring high-capacity batteries and LNG storage on board. The vessel is specially designed to take passengers to polar destinations. Having strengthened its position in the fisheries and aquaculture market during the year, VARD was also awarded contracts for seven trawlers, two fish farming operation platforms, and three service/freight-and-service vessels.

Aker Yards to Build Construction Vessel

Aker Yards has signed a contract with DOF ASA, through its subsidiary DOFCON ASA, for the building of a Construction Vessel. The value of the contract is approximately $80.4m. The vessel will be delivered by Aker Yards, Aukra in June 2009. This Construction Vessel is of Aker Yards design, called Aker OSCV 03 and is the second vessel of this design under construction for DOF. The vessel is 120 meters long and will be equipped with a large offshore crane. It will have DP Class 3.

Aker Yards Builds Two Large Construction Vessels

Aker Yards is to build two large construction vessels for DOFCON. Both vessels will be delivered from Aker Yards' site at Søviknes in Norway. The first vessel is of Aker OSCV 06 L design, developed by Aker Yards, and will be delivered from the yard spring 2009. The vessel is 153 meters long. It will have DP Class 3 and Ice Class. The vessel will have a maximum speed of 18.5 knots, which is of significant importance for global operations in order to minimize mobilization time. The second vessel is scheduled for delivery spring 2008. It is 118 meters long, and will be equipped with a 250 tonnes offshore crane, and will have DP Class 3. This vessel is also designed by Aker Yards.

Aker Yards Builds Large Construction Vessels

Aker Yards is to build two large construction vessels for DOFCON. Both vessels will be delivered from Aker Yards' site at Søviknes in Norway. The value of the two contracts is approximately NOK 1 175 million. The first vessel is of Aker OSCV 06 L design, developed by Aker Yards, and will be delivered from the yard spring 2009. The vessel is 153 m long. It will have DP Class 3 and Ice Class. The vessel will have a maximum speed of 18.5 knots, which is of significant importance for global operations in order to minimize mobilization time. The second vessel is scheduled for delivery spring 2008. It is 118 meters long, and will be equipped with a 250 tons offshore crane, and will have DP Class 3. This vessel is also designed by Aker Yards.

Aker to Build Construction Vessel for DOF

Aker Yards has signed a contract with DOF ASA, through its subsidiary DOFCON ASA, for the building of a large construction vessel. The value of the contract is approximately $114.4m. The vessel will be built by Aker Yards in Brazil, with planned delivery May 2009. This large construction vessel is an Aker Yards design, called Aker OSCV 06 and is the fourth vessel of this design under construction to DOF. The vessel is 452.8 ft. and will be equipped with a 250 tons offshore crane. It will have DP Class 3.

Aker Yards Secures Contracts for Diving Support Vessels

Aker Yards ASA said it won an order from DOF ASA for a diving support vessel (DSV), and a contract from DOFCON ASA and Technip for a second DSV. For DOF, Aker Yards will build a DSV based on Aker Yards' Aker DSV06 design, while the other DSV will be to the Aker OSCV-06L DSV design. Source: Forbes

Aker Yards to Build DSVs

Aker Yards has entered into a contract with DOF ASA for the building of one Diving Support Vessel (DSV), and a contract with DOFCON and Technip for a second DSV. Aker Yards is to build a 106 m Diving Support Vessel for DOF, based on an Aker Yards design; Aker DSV06. The Vessel is scheduled for delivery from Aker Yards, Søviknes in the spring of 2007. The Vessel occupies a construction slot originally designated for a large PSV, the delivery of which has been delayed to 2008. It will be mostly dedicated to the UK sector of the North Sea. The vessel will be equipped with a 150T crane and all equipment necessary to support both IRM and subsea construction projects in the most challenging environments of the North Sea.

Technip Continues Plan to Rebuild Fleet

Technip has reached several new milestones in relation to its strategy to renew and develop the Group’s subsea construction fleet. Technip has signed agreements with Norwegian ship owner, DOF, which provide commitments with respect to two of its new build vessels. First, Technip is teaming up with DOFCON, a subsidiary of DOF, for the joint ownership and management of its new build DP III DSV. This vessel will be mostly dedicated to the support of the Statoil frame agreement signed with Technip for diving, pipeline repair, contingency and modification services. Based on the Aker OSCV-06L design, 153 m long, she will be equipped with a 300T crane and a 24 man dive system built to Norwegian standards.

Acergy Charters New Build Construction Ship

Acergy announced that it has entered into an agreement with DOFCON ASA for the charter of the Skandi Acergy, a new build heavy construction ship. The 8-year charter will commence upon delivery, which is scheduled for the second quarter of 2008. Construction is taking place at the Aker Søviknes Yard in Norway and, once complete, the ship will be a class leader amongst heavy construction ships. The new ship will be 153 metres in length, will have a cargo deck area of 2,100 m2 and will be fitted with a heave compensated crane with 400 metric tonne lift capability, a 3,000 tonne under deck carousel and have Class 3 dynamic positioning.
