ASRY Reaches 100 Rig Milestone

ASRY, a ship and rig repair yard in the Arabian Gulf, has welcomed its 100th rig repair job to the yard, as 2016 posts the highest number of rig repair contracts in the yards history. ASRY appoints Acting Chief Executive

ASRY has appointed Magdy Mustafa as Acting Chief Executive, after the current Chief Executive announced his resignation to move back to Norway for family reasons. Magdy Mustafa, the current Procurement and Contracts General Manager will take on all Chief Executive duties in addition to his current role, effective from 1 September 2016. The ASRY Board of Directors confirmed the transition has been carefully planned in order to ensure a smooth and seamless transfer of responsibilities. Mustafa began working at ASRY in 1978, and is one of the most experienced employees of the company after 38 years in a variety of roles. Seven Seas Launches New Facility at ASRY

ASRY, a ship and rig repair yard in the Arabian Gulf, has welcomed a new dedicated living quarters outfitter and HVAC facility operated by UAE-based Seven Seas within the yard. The facility includes a metal fabrication workshop, a carpentry workshop, offices and stores, and will increase the variety and quality of accommodation and air conditioning works ASRY can offer ship and rig clients. ASRY, ABB Industries Sign Agreement

Ship and rig repair specialist ASRY reports that it has signed a co-operation agreement with ABB Industries (LLC), Dubai, a division of ABB Turbocharging, a leader in the manufacture and maintenance of turbochargers for two-stroke and four-stroke engines for various types of vessels. The agreement will see ABB open a new workshop in ASRY, provide international factory warranties from ASRY, and provide onsite accessibility for ASRY customers to ABB’s worldwide Service Network.
