NautiCast Offers AIS Solution

Vienna, Austria-based NautiCast Schiffsnavigationssysteme specializes in the development and distribution of refined AIS navigation aids, catering for both the commercial and leisure shipping industries as well as ports and VTS centers. The core product of the X-Pack range is the X-Pack DS AIS-Transponder, a product literally designed to anticipate not only today's, but also tomorrow's requirements of an AIS in the maritime industry. The X-Pack DS was developed with NautiCast and is assembled to ISO 9001 Standard by Siemens AG Austria. The X- Pack DS AIS-Transponder automatically and continuously broadcasts and receives static, dynamic and voyage related ship data and exchanges it with other AIS equipped vessels and shore stations within VHF range.

Raytheon and Nauticast Combine Efforts

Raytheon has widened their product offering and is now also offering a SOLAS Class A ship borne AIS Transponder through their worldwide Reseller Network. The new RM 808 AIS is Wheelmark Type Approved by BSH, Germany, and is exclusively produced by Nauticast Schiffsnavigationssysteme AG, Austria. Nauticast supplies the RM 808 AIS based on their own X-Pack DS design, together with extended warranty and high-end accessories for ease of installation. "It is the unique technology and design of the system which convinced us to choose this model. It is the perfect choice for new builds as well as suiting our strategic focus on the retrofit market. Innovations in AIS

Raytheon Marine is broadening its product offering to fulfill the new requirements due to the modification of international regulations. Therefore the company is now offering a SOLAS Class A ship borne AIS Transponder through its worldwide Reseller Network. The new RM 808 AIS, which is Wheelmark Type Approved by BSH, Germany, is produced exclusively by Nauticast Schiffsnavigationssysteme AG, Austria. Nauticast supplies the RM 808 AIS based on its own X-Pack DS design, together with extended warranty and high-end accessories for ease of installation. Marine Data Systems (MDS) has become the first to be granted product approval by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S., for its AIMS MIV Automatic Identification System (AIS).
