Chevron Books Edda Fides Accommodation Vessel for Wheatstone Work

Oil and gas company Chevron has chartered Edda Accommodation's Edda Fides offshore accommodation unit for operations support in Australia, starting in the second quarter of 2022.Currently on a charter with Norway's Equinor, mono-hull vessel Edda Fides will provide accommodation and associated facilities for up to 300 people for an upcoming turnaround maintenance event on the Wheatstone offshore gas processing platform, off the coast of Australia."Edda Fides worked at Wheatstone for Chevron back in 2017…

SembMarine Snaps up GraviFloat

Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) has increased its stake in Norway-based Gravifloat AS to 56%, which it intends to fully acquire eventually. In a statement on Wednesday, SembMarine says it acquired a 44% stake in Gravifloat for US$38 million ($52.6 million), in addition to the 12% stake it already owns. The agreement also allows Sembmarine to eventually increase its stake by a further 44% to 100% through an equity purchase at the same price. Gravifloat designs and holds parents for a suite of redeployable, modularised solutions based on its unique near-shore floating yet gravity-based LNG terminal solutions. Cameron Multi-Million Dollar Award for Subsea Systems

Cameron (NYSE: CAM) has received an order for the supply of subsea production systems for a deepwater and offshore gas processing and pipeline project in the South China Sea. The project will include subsea equipment, as well as an agreement to provide additional services across the life of the field. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2011 and continue through 2012. Cameron President and Chief Executive Officer Jack B. Moore said, "At water depths of nearly 5,000 feet, this represents the deepest prospect to date in the Asia-Pacific region. We are pleased to have the opportunity to provide Cameron's equipment and technology in support of this important development.
