Horizon Lines To Expand Gulf Service

Horizon Lines announced that it will expand its Gulf service to offer shippers a Tuesday sailing every other week from Jacksonville to San Juan. Adding the Jacksonville call also creates a high-speed, over-the-weekend marine option through Houston for cargo bound for southeastern destinations along the Eastern Seaboard. Horizon Lines, Inc announce it will move its northeast terminal operations to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from Elizabeth, New Jersey, effective April 11, 2013. Horizon Lines Names Vice President for Puerto Rico

San Juan - Horizon Lines Inc. has named Richard Rodriguez, Vice President and General Manager, Puerto Rico. In this new role, Rodriguez will be responsible for all on-island sales and operations activity, local labor, security, as well as government relations. Formerly, he was Port Manager in San Juan for the company. Rodriguez reports to Brian Taylor, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "Richard spent his entire career in the Puerto Rico logistics arena," Taylor said.
