Strategic Marine, Abu Dhabi Ship Building Sign MoU

Strategic Marine, one of the world’s leading specialist shipbuilding, fabrication and engineering companies, has teamed up with Abu Dhabi Ship Building PJSC (ADSB), a renowned provider of construction, repair and refit services for naval, military and commercial vessels, to develop the Middle East’s growing market of aluminium vessels. Strategic and ADSB have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create tenders for a variety of aluminium vessels using Strategic Marine’s world class design and construction methods.The strategic build and placement of the vessels at the Abu Dhabi ship yard are aimed to attractregional buyers. Njord Orders More Windfarm Service Vessels

Strategic Marine, a specialist shipbuilder in Asia, today announced that Njord Offshore, U.K. fleet operator of Crew Transfer Vessels for the growing European offshore windfarm sector, has officially confirmed the option for two more high performance crew transfer and service vessels, taking the total order to eight vessels. So far, Strategic has delivered six vessels to Njord Offshore. The first, Njord Advocet, completed her maiden charter on the Greater Gabbard Windfarm for SSE and will join her sister Vessels off the European Mainland off Germany. The Njord Kittiwake is now working off Denmark and the Njord Curlew and Lapwing off Germany. The Njord Puffin and Petrel were delivered last month at Strategic’s shipyard in Singapore and have just arrived in Europe.

Strategic Delivers Jati Six Crewboat in Singapore

On Jully 24, specialist boatbuilder Strategic Marine launched the Jati Six crew transfer vessel for Malaysian client Dinasti Jati Sdn Bhd. The vessel is part of a multi-ship order. The superstructure was built at Strategic's other shipyard in Vietnam then shipped to their Singapore yard for technical fittings and delivery. The Jati Six is 40 meters in length, classed by ABS, and can carry up to 58 passengers. It operates with a crew of 10. Its engines, from Kummins KTA, allow speeds up to 25 knots.

Strategic Marine to Build Eight Crewboats

Australian shipbuilder Strategic Marine is making the most of the current high demand for offshore vessels in international shipping markets by building eight aluminum crew boats on a speculative basis. In a move which is expected to boost its revenues by over $40m, the company will build six 40m vessels at its shipyard, and two 52m crew boats at its new Mexican yard at . Western Australian marine services company Samson Maritime has already ordered two of the new 40m crew boats after signing a contract worth $9.8m.
