Huntington Ingalls Industries Announces Leadership Changes
Huntington Ingalls Industries announced changes to its senior leadership team. Michael Smith, executive vice president, strategy and development, is moving to HII’s Technical Solutions division, where he will serve as president of the SN3 business and report to Michael Lempke, president of the Nuclear & Environmental group, effective immediately. Scott Stabler, executive vice president, internal audit, is moving into a new role as HII’s executive vice president and chief transformation officer, reporting to Mike Petters, HII’s president and CEO.

USS George H. W. Bush Completes Trials
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NSYE:NOC) has completed builder's sea trials of the nation's newest and most advanced nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77). Builder's sea trials provide an opportunity to test systems, components and compartments at sea for the first time. Newport News Appoints Stabler
Newport News Shipbuilding named Scott Stabler to the position of vice president, assembly; and the retirement of George Wade, vice president of assembly, test and trades. Stabler, who will be responsible for all assembly areas involved in the construction of carriers, submarines and overhauls, has been with Newport News since 1984. George Wade began his shipyard career was a designer in the Atomic Power Design Department. An employee with Newport News for 34 years, he retired on Sept. 1.
