Aker Solutions Wins Kristin LPP Modification Contract

Aker Solutions has won a contract to build and install a new compressor module on the Statoil-operated Kristin platform in the Norwegian Sea. The contract value is approximately $151m. The purpose of the modification is to increase recovery from the field and accelerate production by adapting the platform to changes in reservoir pressure. Work starts immediately, with a scheduled delivery in Q1 2014. "We are very pleased to win the Kristin LPP contract. This project is in line with our strategy to be the preferred life-of-field partner through assisting our customers in executing their increased recovery projects," said president for maintenance, modifications and operations in Aker Solutions, Stian Vemmestad.

Aker Solutions Contract for Gudrun Tie-In

Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions the Sleipner Modifications Portfolio Agreement and the first project-specific agreements for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) for the Gudrun tie-in to Sleipner in the North Sea. The order is worth approximately $148.9m and replaces the letter of intent announced July 14. "We are pleased to win the portfolio agreement for modifications in the Sleipner area and we are looking forward to take on the Gudrun tie-in work for Statoil and its partners. This order confirms Aker Solutions' leading position within advanced and complex modifications in the North Sea," said Stian Vemmestad, president for maintenance, modifications and operations in Aker Solutions.

Tronstad Named President of Aker Kvaerner Verdal

Nina Udnes Tronstad joins Aker Kvaerner as President for the offshore yard at Verdal. She comes from a position as Executive Vice President for HSE in Statoil where she has been a member of the corporate executive committee since April 2005. She will start 1 September 2007. She will report to Mr. Bjørnar Skjevik who will return to his position as head of Aker Kvaerner's fabrication yards. Ms. Ms. Mr. Bjørnar Skjevik continues in his role as head of the fabrication yards in Aker Kvaerner. Nina Udnes Tronstad will report to him. Nina Udnes Tronstad resides with her family at Inderøy, not far from Verdal. She joined Statoil in 1983 and has had a number of managerial positions in the Statoil, including at its Danish and Swedish subsidiaries.
