Greek oil tanker operator Okeanis Eco Tankers has taken delivery of the Suezmax tanker “Nissos Sikinos” today.

The tanker was delivered from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea and is the first of the two Suezmaxes that will be delivered to the company by the end of September. The second one is named Nissos Sifnos.

Both scrubber-fitted, 158,000 dwt, tankers secured contracts in July 2020, with a three-year charter each.

The Nissos Sikinos has already started its three-year charter contract, right after the delivery, with an unnamed oil company.

Okeanis Eco Tankers said last month that the two vessels’ daily cash breakeven rate was anticipated to be sub-$21,000 per day.
