Scorpio Bulkers Raise Scope of IPO
Scorpio Bulkers Inc. say it has increased the size of its public offering from the initially announced 15,500,000 common shares to 31,300,000 common shares for gross proceeds of $305,175,000. The Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 4,695,000 additional common shares, and they say they plan to use all of the net proceeds of this offering to fund newbuilding vessel capital expenditures.

Scorpio Bulkers IPO to Fund Multi-Newbuilding Orders
The bulk ship owners announce its initial public offering of 15,500,000 common shares, granting the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 2,325,000 additional common shares. Scorpio say that the net proceeds of this public offering are expected to be used to fund newbuilding vessel capital expenditures, including capital expenditures related to the Company's initial fleet, and for general corporate purposes, including working capital.

Clearlake Charters Diana Bulk Vessel
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, announced that yesterday through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Clearlake Shipping Pte., Ltd., Singapore, a member of the Gunvor Group, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v Houston. The gross charter rate is $20,500 per day, minus a 4.75% commission paid to third parties, for a period of about 11 months to about 14 months.

Diana Shipping Charter Out Panamax Bulker at Daily US$11k
Diana Shipping Inc. has time- chartered out the 75,336 dwt MV Triton to Bunge S.A., Geneva, at a gross charter rate of US$11,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of up to minimum September 1, 2014 to maximum October 31, 2014. The charter is expected to commence on December 8, 2013. The owners add that this employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$2.86 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the charter.

Diana Shipping Charters Bulk Vessel to RWE
Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specializing in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, has announced that it has entered into a time charter contract with RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, Essen, Germany, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels, the m/v JK Pioneer, to be renamed P. S. Palios. The gross charter rate is $18,350 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, for a period of about 22 months to maximum December 31, 2015.

Transas Hellas will supply ECDIS and Official Charts to Hellenic Carriers Corporation S.A. according to agreement recently signed between two companies. Hellenic Carriers Corporation’s fleet will be equipped with the Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS in premium configuration and Transas Admiralty Data Service (TADS) providing a comprehensive and official chart data service. Greece-based Safe Bulkers, Inc. report second quarter and first 6 months 2013 losses, but also reveal an increasing market optimism with new ships on order. Net revenue for the second quarter of 2013 decreased by 12% to $41.4 million from $47.0 million during the same period in 2012. Net income for the second quarter of 2013 increased by 14% to $24.6 million from $21.5 million, during the same period in 2012.
