The Stewart Group, an international shipbroker, has underpinned its growth plans by relocating to new premises in Aberdeen which triple its office space.

The established business, which currently has 12 people based in the city, as well as a further 14 at offices in London, Houston, Cape Town and Ghana, now has space for 26 staff following a move to the multi-million pound City Wharf development on Shiprow. The company, which was previously based in Union Street, has invested more than £600,000 to create a modern working environment, featuring a classic maritime theme.

The 5,500-square-foot office has been developed by architects to provide quality business space which places an emphasis on working efficiency and staff welfare.

“This is a key move for the business, providing us with the scope to expand as demand for our services and expertise increases nationally and internationally,” said Paul Love, Managing Director of The Stewart Group. “Our brief to the architects was to create an office with a design which would stand comparison with the absolute best. We think we have achieved this, and look forward to an exciting new era for the business.”
