The SeaKing WetMate takes subsea interconnect performance to the next level by enabling safe and reliable mating and demating in fully submerged environments. This makes it a perfect choice for remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), subsea maintenance, defense platforms, and marine research operations. Built on the proven foundation of Glenair’s SeaKing 700 series, the WetMate inherits key performance attributes—such as pressure ratings up to 10,000 PSI (700 BAR / 7,000 m), dual O-ring seals, corrosion-resistant stainless steel or PEEK composite shells, and marine bronze coupling nuts—while extending capability to on-the-fly underwater connections.

Engineered with a specialized sealing system, the SeaKing WetMate tolerates water ingress during the mating process and locks in a fully sealed, high-pressure-tight connection once engaged. This feature is critical for subsea operations where connectors must be serviced or replaced without the need for dry conditions. Like its SeaKing predecessors, the WetMate is built for extreme durability, incorporating gold-plated high-pressure contacts, polarized mating interfaces, and field-replaceable O-rings to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

Practicality in real-world use has also been a focus of the SeaKing WetMate design. Marine-grade bronze engaging nuts with knurled surfaces allow easy hand-tightening, even in challenging underwater conditions. Indexable backshells and PBOF (Pressure-Balanced Oil-Filled) compatibility simplify installation and maintenance while ensuring long-term resilience in subsea environments. The result is a connector solution that marries ruggedness with usability, delivering performance that customers can trust even in the most demanding marine applications.
