Posted to Maritime Reporter (by on January 26, 2025

Military Sealift Command continues recruiting civilian mariners, offering federal benefits and travel opportunities despite the recent hiring freeze.

CIVMAR - HIRING

Military Sealift Command is a vital part of the U.S. maritime industry and Naval operations. MSC serves as the premier provider of ocean transportation to the Department of Defense. This week, the President instituted a hiring freeze on federal civilian employees; however, MSC’s recruitment for civil service mariners (CIVMARS) is not impacted. We continue to actively recruit and onboard skilled mariners.

There is no service commitment required when you work at MSC, instead, you have the ability to quickly gain critical experience to advance your career, embrace the challenge of serving your country and reap the benefits that come with that. MSC’s incredible benefits range from world travel to steady pay with federal benefits to job security and more; and don’t overlook the recruitment bonuses offered for most positions.

MSC is continuing to hire CIVMARS to work on our fleet of over 50 ships around the world.
