State of the Coast Guard Address
U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Thad Allen delivered his fourth and final State of the Coast Guard address at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., Feb. 12. Crowley Maritime Corporation announced that Wendy MacDonald has been promoted to vice president of procurement, replacing Matt Jackson who has been named vice president, Caribbean island services. MacDonald will remain domiciled in Jacksonville and report to Susan Rodgers, Crowley's senior vice president of corporate services. MacDonald is responsible for all materials management and purchasing for the corporation. She also oversees facilities development and travel.

As she entered the Hamburg, Germany, harbor on February 9, 2010, AIDA Cruisesâs newest addition to the fleet, AIDAblu sailed right past the Caterpillar Marine Power Systems headquarters on the historic Elbe River. The AIDAblu represents the fourth ship in a series of seven AIDA club ships powered by MaK engines. The 827-ft Sphinx-class series cruise ship has a passenger capacity of 2,192 over 14 decks.

Wärtsilä, Neste Oil Maintenance Agreement
Wärtsilä has signed a five-year maintenance agreement with Finnish Neste Oil. The agreement covers both the main and auxiliary engines, delivered by Wärtsilä, for eight vessels in the Neste Oil fleet. According to the agreement, Wärtsilä offers maintenance operations, spare parts, including performance optimisation, as well as an annual visit of specialists to check the optimal operation of each vessel's engines under running conditions. Neste Oil operates a fleet of about 30 vessels.

Austal has delivered six high-speed aluminum patrol craft to Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG).
