Liebherr Turnover Tops $11 Billion

Montecon Adds Third Liebherr to its Fleet
Liebherr Maritime Cranes already delivered two Liebherr mobile harbor cranes LHM 800 in container configuration to Montecon in Uruguay. Liebherr Bolsters Its Australia Maritime Business
Liebherr Maritime said it will establish full service, spares and sales activities in Australia, New Zealand and the Oceania region to create better support for maritime customers using factory trained and locally recruited engineers. Additionally, Liebherr representative Morrow Equipment Australia will focus on the purchase and rental of tower cranes in the future. Liebherr has been present in Australia since the early ’70s, leasing its first premises in Kilkenny in 1983.
Liebherr Offshore Cranes Accessing New Markets
Liebherr’s maritime manufacturing plant in Rostock has been awarded the contract to supply the heavy-lift crane for the Orion, a new wind farm installation and platform decommissioning vessel ordered by DEME from COSCO (QiDong) Offshore, a subsidiary of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry. The crane is rated at 3,000 metric tons at more than 50 meters, with a lifting height in excess of 170 meters and a designation of HLC (Heavy-Lift Crane) 295000. Delivery will be spring 2019.

60 Liebherr Ship Cranes for Yamalmax Newbuilds at DSME
Liebherr’s ship crane department has secured orders to equip 15 new vessels of the South Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., LTD (DSME) with one ship set of four units type CBW 2100 each. That means a summarized order volume of 60 Liebherr ship cranes. The 15 ordered and identical vessels are liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers with a capacity of 172,600 cubic meters and a total length of 299 meters.
