One of the nation's most comprehensive forums on all aspects of supply chain security since last fall's terrorist attacks, will be held from June 13-15 in Scottsdale, Ariz. Entitled "Securing Assets in the Global Supply Chain: People, Property, Products and Services," the annual conference of the National Cargo Security Council will bring together many of the nation's leading security experts from major shippers, government policy makers, and security solution providers. Preventing cargo containers from being turned into weapons of mass destruction will be among the many critical topics addressed during the conference and exhibit.
Capt. William Schubert, Administrator of the U.S. Maritime Administration, will be the keynote speaker, addressing the potential threats posed by the many thousands of inbound containers coming into the nation's ports every day. In addition, there will be numerous exhibitors, 13 in-depth workshops and 55 presentations by prominent speakers from the private and public sectors, including the U.S. Congress, FBI, U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Customs and MarAd.
