Anglo-Eastern Celebrates 40th Anniversary

On September 4th, Anglo-Eastern celebrate it’s 40th Anniversary, in Hong Kong, concluding with an evening of fun, at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

Among a host of VIPs, both local and international, Mr. & Mrs. Evert Maréchal, The Consul General of Belgium, along with the Consul General of Japan, Mr Hitoshi Noda and the Consul General of India, Mr. Ravi Sinha & Mr Prashant Agrawal together with the Director of the HK Marine Department, Mr Michael W.L. Wong, JP were welcome by Group CEO, Mr Peter Cremers and the Board of Directors of Anglo-Eastern.

Some 200 odd guests attended the function, with guests ranging from Anglo-Eastern’s extensive clients list worldwide, which saw around 50, of Anglo-Eastern’s clients travel from all parts of the globe to participate in Anglo-Eastern’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, among them:

Local clients and shipowners and other shipmanagers were also well represented with, Chellaram Shipping, Unique Shipping, Wah Kwong, Sinotrans, Saga Shipholding, KC Maritime, Cido Shipping, as well as Maersk, Pacific Basin and Wallem in attendance.

In Peter Cremer’s welcoming speech, he paid tribute to Peter Nash, founder of Anglo-Eastern, his loyal and hard working workforce and for the Board in letting the management team run the Company, a team that has remained constant for the better part of 25+ years, throughout various ownership structures, until the final MBO (Management Buy-Out) and the merger with Denholm.

Today, Anglo-Eastern has around 450 vessels under full management, 60+ ships under crew management and a JV with Teekay to manage some 50 tankers.

In a final comment, Group CEO, Peter Cremers said: “Whatever we have done with the Company, we have taken the clients’ interests first, because it is this priority which serves shareholders’ interests best – in the long run.”
