Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world’s leading maritime and logistics service provider, has expanded its global business with Danish tramp shipping company, NORDEN A/S, with a new contract for crew logistics and husbandry services.

Under the additional agreement for the dry cargo and tanker specialist, ISS will co-ordinate over 2,800 crew changes per year across 32 vessels worldwide, as well as husbandry and disbursement account processing. The arrangement with ISS will support NORDEN’s operations and accounting teams and provide a single point of contact and remittance, negating the need for multiple, regional agents.

ISS will help improve cost scheduling for core services and ensure greater transparency. NORDEN will also benefit from cost savings as a result of ISS’ global vendor agreements and volume.

Managed from the ISS Vessel Supply Chain Hub in Mumbai, the company will work with NORDEN in key locations across Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, including Rotterdam, Houston and Fujairah.

Comments Ole Lykke, Head of Strategic Purchasing: “NORDEN is very satisfied to date with the performance and service from ISS - the Disbursement Account handling especially is a cost saving initiative and also saves us time.”

Adds Gavin Griffin, Executive Vice-President, Europe & North Africa, ISS: “We are delighted to win additional global business with NORDEN. This new contract demonstrates the value of our Crew Logistics Services (CLS) and I’m very pleased to have NORDEN join our other major CLS customers.”
