Drydocks World announced new safety milestones on a number of projects in February 2013.

The company has built its reputation around a strong Health, Safety and Environment culture and is working on several ground-breaking projects for major international players in the oil, gas and energy sectors. A robust health and safety management system strengthened by the focus on Zero Harm and ’12 Life saving Rules’ launched in 2012 ensures that safety remains at the core of the business culture.

A total of 5 million man hours contributed tp work on three key projects without a lost time incident (LTI). Moreover, the business didn’t incur any LTI for the entire months of January and February with 6 million business man hours worked.

“The entire workforce has worked hard in strengthening the focus on worksite safety and these milestones have only been achieved by everyone working together to ensure that their safety as well as the safety of their co-workers remains the number one priority at all times. However, we must not be complacent and we are continually improving our awareness and management systems to ensure that all our activities remain incident and accident free,” said Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.
