It is equipped with a dynamic positioning rating of DP-3 and features a 2,000 ton crane that can be used to install offshore platforms, deepwater pipelines and offshore wind turbines. The vessel was built at Drydocks World, Dubai, and a similar vessel, OSA Samson, which will also be ABS classed is currently under construction at the same yard and scheduled for delivery early 2010. With the emerging need for offshore wind turbine installations, these vessels are well positioned to support wind installations and subsea construction support.
