Anteon Wins Navy Contract

Anteon Corp., Chesapeake, Va., and Raytheon Technical Services Company, Reston, Va., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing provisions for engineering, technical, logistical, training, installation, maintenance, and program support services, along with personnel, tooling and necessary facilities to perform various assigned tasks for C4I systems, to include the following functional areas: assessment and maintenance of shipboard systems and equipment, training and maintenance/overhaul processes; identification, compilation and production of measures of effectiveness, and other metrics as required; data analysis and reliability engineering; field service engineering; original equipment manufacturer/design agent technical support; and provide program support for various technical evolutions in support of the Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic, Norfolk, Va. Each contractor will equally share the minimum guarantee of $100,000 at the time of award. The contract awards encompass a base year and nine one-year option periods. For Anteon Corporation the base year amount is $30,963,952 and the contract ceiling amount, if all options are exercised, will be $347,739,375. For Raytheon Technical Services Company, the base year amount is $34,258,034 and the contract ceiling amount, if all options are exercised, will be $378,447,168. Work will be performed in Hampton Roads area, Va. (75 percent); other ports in the Continental U.S. (20 percent); and various ports outside the Continental U. S. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed June 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $100,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contracts were competitively procured. The requirement was issued under full and open competition and posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce On-line and the Federal Business Opportunity websites, with two offers received.
