Crewboat Delivered for USACE Mission

Vanguard Services, New Johnsonville, Tenn., has delivered an aluminum 23 ft. crewboat to Massman Construction Co. The USACE is constructing navigation lock approach walls for the Olmsted Lock & Dam. The construction uses innovative in-the-wet construction, which does not utilize a cofferdam. The contract calls for the contractor to furnish a boat for the explicit use of the government for inspection purposes, but will be owned, licensed and maintained by the contractor. Vanguard Services manufactures a complete line of aluminum boats, including open skiffs, landing craft and even a new rigid hull inflatable boat with an aluminum bottom and sides.
