Nine Ships Detained in the UK During February

The U.K. Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) announced that nine foreign flagged ships were under detention in U.K. ports during February 2014 after failing Port State Control (PSC) inspection.

During February, there were four new detentions of foreign flagged vessels in U.K. ports, while five vessels remained under detention from previous months. Three of the detained vessels were released during February, leaving six vessels under detention at the end of the month.
