Same day turnaround possible on custom products or critical pieces via Parker’s custom manufacturing operation

Motion and control technologies company Parker Hannifin announced the introduction of its new rapid service unit as a part of the existing custom manufacturing operation. According to the company, the rapid service unit can turn certain orders for critical fittings, hose-tube combinations and other custom pieces in the same day they are received.

Parker’s custom manufacturing operation was created to provide customers with a source for critical pieces, custom prototypes or uncommon sized parts in one-piece or short-run productions. Parker’s custom manufacturing operation specializes in making custom and non-standard parts in uncommon sizes, including custom bent and straight fittings; custom prototypes; unusual hose and tube combinations; jump sizes; tube assemblies; and steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum and special request alloys.

“When a customer realizes a missing critical piece can shut down their operation, the rapid service unit will do everything it can to ensure the customer gets the order when they need it,” said Doug Gilbert, marketing manager of Parker’s hose products division. “If it means delivering after hours to the shipping center or meeting a customer at their plane, the rapid service unit team will do it. And there’s no minimum order – a quantity of one gets it done.”

The custom manufacturing operation uses standard Parker hoses, fittings and tubing, and can create custom tube and compound assemblies in both metric and imperial connections to precisely match customer specifications.

There is no minimum order for the custom manufacturing service. Parker said all products are designed, engineered, manufactured and tested to the highest standards using the latest equipment, and Parker can provide DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) certification, pressure testing and the United States Military Standard (MIL-SPEC) specification.
