CACI International Inc announced that it has been awarded an $8 million support services contract, for one base year with two option years, by the Naval Inventory Control Point to support the Commander, Navy Installations (CNI) Command Information Officer. With this award, CACI continues to provide technical and business consulting services to the Navy Shore Installation Management enterprise, which the company has been supporting since June 2000. The award continues CACI's business with the U.S. Navy and supports the company's core engineering and logistics business area. CNI is a large and complex business enterprise that supports naval operating forces, naval bases, and the communities in which they are located. It manages a wide range of functions, including port operations, facilities, public safety, and command and staff. Most recently, CNI oversaw the identification of Navy housing facilities to shelter military members and families displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Under this contract, CACI will provide expert technical and business consulting services for CNI's information technology infrastructure and information networks. This includes supporting maintenance and deployment of enterprise-wide software applications as well as providing technical support for the innovative Navy-Marine Corps Intranet project. "With this award, CACI continues to bring strong client knowledge, coupled with technical expertise, to the U.S. Navy's Shore Installation Management enterprise," said Paul Cofoni, CACI President of U.S. Operations. "Our experienced team and demonstrated solutions are focused on supporting Navy personnel and the communities in which they live and work." CACI Chairman, President, and CEO Dr. J.P. (Jack) London said, "This award with the Commander of Navy Installations demonstrates the continuing success of CACI's business strategy. Our goal is always to provide the highest levels of client service and added value. We continue to serve our clients with products and services designed for mission support, in everything from the transformation of the way the government does business, through readiness, homeland security, and support for the global war on terrorism."
