Great Lakes protection

Representative Ehlers (R-MI) introduced a bill (H.R. 4416) to establish the Great Lakes Protection and Restoration Committee.

Customs and immigration authorizations

Representative Crane (R-IL) introduced a bill (H.R. 4418) to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 2005 and 2006 for the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection and the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement of the Department of Homeland Security, for the Office of the United States Trade Representative, for the United States International Trade Commission, and for other purposes.

Transportation appropriation

Representative Obey (D-WI) introduced a bill (H.R. 4422) making appropriations for the Departments of Agriculture, Education, Health and Human Services, and Transportation for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005, and for other purposes.

Homeland security appropriations

Representative Sandlin (D-TX) introduced a bill (H.R. 4462) making appropriations for homeland security programs within the Departments of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2005, and for other purposes. (5/20/04).

Public transportation security grants

Senator Shelby (R-AL) introduced a bill (S. 2453) to authorize the Secretary of Homeland Security to award grants to public transportation agencies to improve security, and for other purposes.

Mississippi and Illinois navigation capacity

Senator Bond (R-MO) introduced a bill (S. 2470) enhance navigation capacity improvements and the ecosystem restoration plan for the Upper Mississippi River and Illinois Waterway System.
