Simrad Launches New Series

Simrad has launched a new range of Chartplotters, Echosounders, ChartSounders and Multifunction Radars. The xx 44/54 series offers enough power and speed to cater for the needs of larger and high speed vessels, and comes with a host of advanced features as standard. The xx 44/54 series offers even faster processing speeds than before. Using the very latest in technology it is aimed at the serious boaters who require the most powerful instruments to do their job. Using C-Map NT+ the series offers the fastest redraw of large coverage NT+ charts of any rival system.

The power of the xx 44/54 series is matched by its ease of use and user friendliness. A newly designed fascia and the new ‘PrimePad’ operational panel allows for quick and easy access to all major functions and screens. Dual station installations have been simplified also, with the use of a one cable, High Speed Data bus (HSDb). Ten or fifteen inch screens ensures that none of the important information is missed. A choice of either bright TFT screens or the brighter advanced transflective SunView screens means that the operator stations can be positioned almost anywhere on a vessel. The 44/54 series is also Radar and Chart synchronied and features high speed antennas with Radar power up to 12KW. In addition, it also offers Dual Waypoints on Radar Image.
