Northrop Grumman Corporation's Newport News sector announced the appointment of Linda Leukhardt as sector vice president of business management and chief financial officer.
Leukhardt, 43, is responsible for the financial systems, programs and processes that ensure the successful accomplishment of the sector's business objectives. These include accounting and program cost control, rates and budgets, financial reporting and planning, and analysis as well as all other business management functions.
Prior to this promotion, she served as vice president, finance and controller, for Northrop Grumman's Electronic Systems sector headquartered in Baltimore, Md.

"Her broad financial background and considerable experience with business management and ERP implementations make her a key player for our future as part of Northrop Grumman Corporation."
Leukhardt began her career in 1980 with Westinghouse and has held a number of management positions in business management in Baltimore, Md., Sunnyvale, Calif., Pittsburgh, Pa., and other locations.
In 1995, she was appointed manager, Financial Planning and Reporting, for Northrop Grumman's Electronics Systems sector. She continued with this sector in roles of increasing responsibility,including business manager for key programs in Avionics Systems in 1998; project manager of the Business Systems' Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project in 1999; and program director of ERP, responsible for the implementation of the ERP system for the sector.
Leukhardt holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from West Virginia University.
