Quality hat-trick for GAC Marine Logistics
Global ship spares logistics provider GAC Marine Logistics Inc. (GML) has secured ISO certifications in recognition of its Quality Management, Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety Systems.
The ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates were presented to GML Global Director Jan Kielmann by DNV GL’s Business Assurance Country Manager for the Middle East Alireza Ramin Majd at the company’s head office in Dubai, UAE.
Ramin Majd says: “Companies today are subject to a far higher level of scrutiny from all stakeholders. The demand for transparency with respect to what footprint you leave on the environment, how safely you manage your operations, and how you continually improve quality, is increasing for businesses globally. The fact that GAC Marine Logistics Inc. is now a certified company for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is further evidence of their commitment and
eagerness to understand and meet their customers’ needs and expectations. DNV GL Business Assurance is honoured to be a part of this success.”

“GAC’s expertise in the global shipping, marine and logistics industry makes a huge difference to the lead times required for acquiring spare parts – aiding ship owners and alleviating management concerns. The trio of quality awards acknowledges the efficiency, quality and environmental consideration we exercise daily on behalf of our clients,” says Kielmann.
