Alion Names Kevin Boyle General Counsel

Alion Science and Technology, a global engineering, technology and operational solutions company, announced that Kevin Boyle has joined the company as General Counsel. Mr. Boyle’s expertise includes government contracts law and litigation, M&A, equity and debt financing, SEC compliance and intellectual property. He will support Alion’s worldwide growth strategy as well as corporate governance and ethics initiatives. Mr. Boyle was formerly General Counsel for MCR, LLC, where he established the company’s first legal department and corporate governance functions and helped navigate the company through several important legal and regulatory challenges.

Anteon Awarded $15.8M Contract

Anteon International Corporation announced that it has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy's Office of Naval Research for the Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare and Combating Terrorism Department (ONR-30) and the Office of the Vice Chief of Naval Research. Anteon will provide program management and engineering services to the ONR-30 at its offices in Arlington, Virginia. The estimated value of this contract, if all options are exercised, is $15.8 million over a five-year period of performance. ONR-30 is the principal agency within the Office of Naval Research for U.S. Marine Corps Science and Technology Programs. Its mission is to support the development of Naval Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare through the exploitation and subsequent application of science and technology.

General Dynamics Acquires Anteon

Anteon International Corporation, an information technology, systems integration and engineering services company, has entered into a definitive agreement for Anteon to be acquired by General Dynamics for $55.50 in cash for each outstanding Anteon share. The total value of the transaction, including General Dynamic's assumption of Anteon's debt, is expected to be approximately $2.2 billion at closing. Anteon expects the transaction to close by the end of the second quarter in 2006. The transaction has been approved by the boards of directors of each company and is subject to approval by Anteon shareholders, customary regulatory reviews and other closing conditions contained in the transaction agreement.

Anteon Awarded $40M Ship's System Support Contract

Anteon International Corporation announced that Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Portsmouth, Va., has awarded Anteon a 5-year contract with an estimated value of $40 million. Anteon will provide rapid response systems engineering and integration support for major ship components onboard military vessels. Joseph M. Kampf, Anteon President and CEO, stated, "We have a long track record of providing responsive engineering and integration support for systems onboard U.S. Navy ships. This is a core business area for us, and we look forward to applying our extensive capabilities on this new contract in support of SUPSHIP, Portsmouth, requirements."

Anteon Wins $25.7M NavSea Deal

Anteon International Corporation won a contract by the U.S. Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command to support Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Class Ships homeported in Ingleside, Texas and forward deployed to Bahrain and Japan. The estimated value of this contract, if all options are exercised, is $25.7 million over a five-year period of performance. "This contract award represents another key element to Anteon's comprehensive support of the Navy's modernization effort. We continue to grow Anteon's mission support across the breadth of the U.S. Navy's ship repair and modernization programs," stated Dan Johnson, Anteon chief operating officer. "These Naval Sea Systems Command and MCM programs are critical for the Navy's success and its improved combat readiness around the world.

Anteon Awarded $20M Blanket Purchase Agreement

Anteon International Corporation has been awarded a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), with an estimated value of $20 million to support the U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Deepwater System Program. Under this tasking, Anteon will provide systems engineering, life-cycle management and program acquisition support services. These services will aid the Coast Guard during the development and fielding of three classes of new cutters and their associated boats, a new fixed-wing manned aircraft fleet, a combination of new and upgraded helicopters, and unmanned air vehicles. The Deepwater Program provides a complete revitalization of all the deepwater assets within the Coast Guard's inventory.
