ABS Announces Executive Appointments

The ABS Board of Directors announces executive appointments. Effective January 1, 2002 the following staff will assume new leadership positions: Robert J. Bauerle, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer; Gary A. Latin, Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer; Dr. Donald Liu, Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer; and Vincent F. ABS promoted James C. Card to Senior Vice President, Technology. Card will assume the overall management responsibilities of ABS' global technology and research team. The board also approved the election of William J. Sember to a new corporate officer position of Vice President, Offshore Development. Sember is currently serving as Vice President Technology & Business Development, ABS Europe. Texas.

Singapore-based Emas Offshore announced that CEO and Executive Director Capt. Adarash Kumar has tendered his resignation and his last day of service will be on April 6, 2018. In a stock exchange filing, the operating brand for Ezra Holdings said that Kumar will continue in his duties and responsibilities pending the appointment of a suitable candidate in due course. The United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) announce two senior executive appointments to further position the company for its next phase of growth. The company says its major transformation and investment program which is underway, calls for a new operating model to support the business. The appointments provide the depth and breadth to UASC’s Executive Management team to deliver on ambitious growth plans. “UASC is preparing for significant changes on the back of new capacity coming into service with a major program of new vessel acquisition”, said Jorn Hinge, UASC President and CEO.

New Appointments at Keppel Strengthen Growth

The Board and Management of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) wish to announce several new appointments as part of ongoing efforts to put in place a strong leadership team to continually reinforce the Group's growth strategy. Mr Michael Chia, 59, has been appointed Managing Director (Marine) of Keppel O&M and will oversee Keppel O&M's Marine Division which includes Keppel Shipyard, Keppel Singmarine and other marine-related overseas yards. Mr Chia will concurrently hold his appointments as Managing Director (Technology) of Keppel O&M and Managing Director of Keppel O&M Technology Centre. He will report directly to Mr Chow Yew Yuen, Chief Operating Officer of Keppel O&M.

Change of Guard at BIMCO

BIMCO has announced that its new Secretary General/CEO to succeed Mr Torben C. Skaanild on his retirement later this year will be Mr Angus R. Frew, currently Chief Executive of the UK Chamber of Shipping. The appointment of Mr Frew was unanimously approved last week by the BIMCO Executive Committee at its meeting in Shanghai. It is expected that Mr Frew, who will be relocating to Denmark, will take up his appointment on 1st October 2013. Mr Skaanild will continue in a support role to the new Secretary General, and the incoming President of BIMCO, for a period of six months thereafter.

PPG Announces Executive Appointments

PG Industries today announced executive appointments effective June 1. Vince Morales, currently vice president, investor relations, will become vice president, investor relations, and treasurer. Morales will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Frank Sklarsky. Since joining PPG in 1985, Morales has advanced through various finance leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He was appointed to his current position in 2007. Morales earned a Bachelor of Science from Robert Morris University and an MBA from The Ohio State University.

Management Dynamics Names Executive Appointments

Management Dynamics announced the executive-level appointments of Albert Cooke as director of sales operations and Tom Wyville as director of mid-Atlantic sales. Cooke will be responsible for assisting the company's regional sales directors in direct selling efforts as well as managing the company's indirect channel. Wyville will be responsible for selling the company's Rate Explorer solution to importers, exporters, and transportation intermediaries in the Mid-Atlantic region. Today's appointments represent the fifth and sixth hires in as many months as Management Dynamics continues to build out its sales team to deliver contract automation solutions to the global importer, exporter, and NVOCC markets.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Vestas Wind Systems (Vestas) have appointed Philippe Kavafyan to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Lars Bondo Krogsgaard to Co-Chief Executive Officer (Co-CEO) of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind. Dr Robin Bidwell CBE has been appointed as LOC Group chairman informs the London-headquartered international marine and engineering consultancy and survey company. LOC add that for 35 years, Dr Bidwell built and led Environmental Resources Management (ERM) the global environmental advisory firm employing more than 5000 employees in over 40 countries. Clayton To Join Clarkson Board

Clarkson PLC announced that Marie-Louise Clayton will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2017. She will take over as Chair of the Audit Committee following the Annual General Meeting in May 2017 when James Morley, who has been a Non-Executive Director for nine years, will retire from the Board. Trinity Marine Products Appoint Executives

Trinity Marine Products, Inc., a subsidiary of Trinity Industries, Inc. Tom Faherty has been promoted to President of Trinity Marine Products, replacing Paul Mauer, now Chief Operations Officer for TrinityRail. He has held a number of positions within Trinity Marine Products. Most recently, serving as Vice President and General Manager of the tank barge product line. He brings 36 years of experience and knowledge in the marine industry to his new leadership role. Three Exec Appointments at Newport News

BP US Leadership Changes

John Mingé, Regional President BP Alaska, appointed Chairman/President of BP Americas Inc., succeeded by Janet Weiss. John Mingé, has served as head of BP’s Alaska business since January 1, 2009. He will be based in Houston, where he will serve as BP’s lead representative in the US. “BP’s history in Alaska stretches back more than five decades and it is one of the largest and most important businesses in BP’s global portfolio,” Mr. Mingé said. Ms. Weiss serves currently in Alaska as Regional Vice President, Resources, accountable for resource progression and subsurface activities, as well as for IT. In her new role, she will be responsible for BP's oil and gas exploration, development and production activities in Alaska, as well as its interests in the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline.

G2 Ocean Names Wallem

Wallem Ship Agency has been appointed by G2 Ocean to provide Ship Agency services to all their vessels calling in ports in SE Asia. The agreement has been made with Wallem Ship Agency in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and Myanmar. This news comes after Wallem was appointed by G2 Ocean back in July of 2017 for calls to China, totaling an estimated number of 700 calls per year.
