Excelerate Buys EXMAR’s Share in Four FSRUs

Excelerate Energy has acquired the full 50 percent shares held by EXMAR in four companies, Excelerate NV, Explorer NV, Express NV and Excelsior BVBA, each owners of the respective Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRU) registered under the same names, and all four of which are under a long-term time charter to Excelerate Energy. The sale of the first three companies has been completed, while the sale of EXMAR’s shares in the fourth company, Excelsior BVBA, remains subject to approval by JV partner Teekay LNG and company lenders. Exmar USD 23mln Richer After Excel Sale

The Belgian gas tanker company Exmar has sold its liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker Excel for $ 23 million. "Exmar is pleased to announce the sale of the LNG carrier Excel (138,107 m³). The 2003 built Excel has been delivered to its new owners on 6th of October 2017," said a press statement from the company. The net cash proceeds realized by Exmar  for its 50% share in the joint venture will be approximately USD 23 million, it added. Exmar Shipmanagement NV provides management services for a range of ships such as gas carriers, oil tankers, bulk carriers, container vessels, and floating units. The Company also offers additional services including procurement services, technical and marine consultancy and assistance, sale and purchase inspection, and plan approval services.

Alphatron, Exmar Ink Maintenance Contract

Alphatron Marine has signed a full service maintenance contract with EXMAR Shipmanagement covering six gas carriers to ensure optimized operation and reduce daily running costs for the next five years. The gas carriers are fitted mainly with JRC equipment, which Alphatron Marine has many years of experience of installing and supporting, along with other navigation and communication equipment onboard. The contract also includes equipment that is subjected to mandatory annual certifications and inspections.

Drydocks World Allies with Ship Management Company

Drydocks World, whose business is in ship repair, conversion and new building, has announced that it has signed an Alliance Agreement  with EXMAR Shipmanagement, a company that offers high-end ship management services to the maritime industry. The two companies hope to strengthen their relationship on the basis of the new Alliance Agreement, and EXMAR Shipmanagement is expected to consider Drydocks World as preferred yard for all its ship repair and maintenance needs in the Middle East region. It should thus translate into an increased volume of business and further enhance co-operation over the near to medium term.
