Strategic Marine Delivers Fast Crew Boat to Malaysia's Blue Petra

Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine has delivered a new 40-meter Fast Crew Boat (FCB) to Malaysia-based Blue Petra.Blue Petra is a subsidiary of Great Ocean, a licensed Petronas contractor and a supplier to the Malaysian oil and gas industry. Seaspan Awards Contract to Bluedrop

Nova Scotia-based Bluedrop Performance Learning  through its subsidiary Bluedrop Training & Simulation Inc has been awarded a contract to provide advanced training systems for the Offshore Fisheries Science Vessels.Seaspan Shipyards has awarded Bluedrop contract for work on the Canadian Coast Guard’s (CCG) new Offshore Fisheries Science Vessels (OFSV), said a press release.Bluedrop represents one of several Atlantic Canadian suppliers to date that Seaspan is working with to meet its commitments under the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS).Bluedrop designs and develops highly specialized, high performance, tactical training for frontline operators of equipment working in complex environments and high-risk situations.

HHC Takes Two from Damen

Hung Hua Construction (HHC) of Taiwan placed an order for two of Damen’s latest fast crew supply vessel; the FCS 2710. HST Orders Damen Fast Crew Supply Vessel

Damen and High Speed Transfers Ltd (HST) signed a contract for a third FCS 2710 fast crew supply vessel, for delivery in September this year. The FCS 2710 is the replacement for Damen’s FCS 2610 and was first shown to the world in July 2018 with HST as the lead customer. Effectively a complete redesign bringing with it a range of new capabilities and features, the FCS 2710 is capable of carrying twice as many passengers - 26 - as its predecessor and is also able to operate in wave heights of more than two meters due to an extra meter of freeboard.This latest addition to the HST fleet…

Seacor Marine Acquires Three Fast Support Vessels

U.S. offshore vessel owner Seacor Marine  has acquired of three fast support vessels (FSVs) in exchange for the private placement of 603,872 shares of its common stock to domestic U.S. holders affiliated with the McCall family of Louisiana.The provider of global marine and support transportation services to offshore oil and natural gas and windfarm facilities worldwide has operated the acquired vessels for the past ten years under a revenue sharing pooling agreement along with four of its owned FSVs of similar specification.As part of the transaction, this pooling agreement was terminated. This will eliminate a negative adjustment in recent years to Seacor Marine’s revenue and Direct Vessel Profit (DVP) that resulted from allocations of revenue among the pool participants.
