Damen and PVE Equipment USA Sign Dredge Pump Reseller Agreement
Damen Shipyards Group has signed a reseller agreement with PVE Equipment USA (PVE USA) that appoints PVE as authorised partner and official supplier for the sales, service, and parts supply of Damen’s DOP submersible dredge pumps across the US.Under the agreement, PVE USA will leverage its nationwide network in piling, vibro, and foundation equipment to expand US access to DOP pumps, while providing local stock and service, trained technicians, and quick access to parts to minimize downtime for contractors in marine construction, port maintenance, and environmental dredging.
Van Oord’s Giant Wind Installation Vessel Boreas Reaches Netherlands
Van Oord’s offshore installation vessel Boreas has arrived in the Netherlands after a voyage from China of almost 14,700 nautical miles for final outfitting and christening before embarking on its first offshore wind project.The Boreas is currently docked at TMA Logistics in the Port of Amsterdam, where the vessel will undergo its final completion and commissioning phase.Its decks will simultaneously be outfitted with wind turbine foundation equipment and installation tools in preparation for its first assignment. The christening will take place in Rotterdam in June.

Liebherr Maritime said it will establish full service, spares and sales activities in Australia, New Zealand and the Oceania region to create better support for maritime customers using factory trained and locally recruited engineers. Liebherr Simulator (LiSIM) for Operator Training
Liebherr launched LiSIM for operator training on deep foundation equipment and crawler cranes up to 300 t for the first time at Conexpo 2014 in Las Vegas (USA). The simulator is not only available as easy-to-transport containerized solution but also as classroom solution and as space-saving cab solution. Based on original software and hardware the Liebherr simulators increase both productivity and safety by providing a cost-effective and highly efficient operator training solution. Liebherr simulators help trainees to significantly improve their skills in a virtual but realistic environment. The resulting increase in skills allows for safe and productive operation in the real world. For the simulator the LB 28 rotary drilling rig and the LR 1300 crawler crane have been modelled.
IHC Hydrohammer Supplies Largest Piling Hammer For Seaway
IHC Hydrohammer, part of IHC Merwede, has been awarded a contract by Seaway Heavy Lifting to design and manufacture the S-2500 piling hammer, which is the largest ever built by the company. IHC Hydrohammer is delighted to be chosen as the supplier of this equipment and the order highlights the strong and reliable cooperation that has developed between the two companies over more than 20 years.
