Veson Nautical to Acquire VesselsValue

Veson Nautical (Veson), a maritime freight management solutions provider, said Tuesday it planned to acquire vessel valuation provider VesselsValue. Founded in 2011, VesselsValue now has a database of more than 81,500 vessels and provides daily updated, automated, vessel-specific valuations, reports, and market insights.In a statement on Tuesday, Veson said: "By combining VesselsValue products and services with Veson’s existing solutions, clients will benefit from a comprehensive product offering.

Kongsberg to Equip Seaworks' Innovative New Bulker

Tidewater Names Degodny CCO

Tidewater Transportation and Terminals said it recently added Aaron Degodny as its new Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. As part of Tidewater’s executive leadership team, Degodny will focus on establishing strategic partnerships in new markets, expanding and strengthening client relationships, and extending the regional and global footprint of Tidewater, the largest barge transportation and terminal network on the Columbia-Snake River system. He will have direct oversight and responsibility for business development, sales and marketing, public relations and media.

Blue Water Ships Fire Pump Vessel

The project team of Blue Water Shipping, a provider of freight transport solutions, in Marseille, France was entrusted with an exciting job for its client Societe De Constructions, De Reparations Navales Et De Mecanique (SOCARENAM).In early january, a fire pump vessel (weighing 128 metric tons/measuring 24.9 x 6.9 x 3.3 metres) was to be shipped from Boulogne-sur-Mer to Toulon Brégaillon to be operated by Marseille Marine Fire Brigade Division.Blue Water’s scope of the project included engineering, chartering of vessel, loading in Boulogne-sur-Mer, sea fastening and discharging in Toulon Brégaillon. “Due to careful planning and a successful teamwork between Blue Water and SOCARENAM, the entire operation went as planned. This was the second shipment that we have arranged for SOCARENAM.

Blue Water Assists Marine Group in Lock System Elements

The freight transport solutions provider Blue Water Shipping has assisted Marine Group AB, Sweden with placing three out of four lock system elements with great accuracy on board Marine Group’s barge “Carrier 16” in Copenhagen.According to Blue Water, subsequently the barge was to transport the elements to Stockholm, Sweden to form part of a major lock system. The biggest element measured 25 by 65 meters, and “Carrier 16” was adjusted for this specific project.But first of all, the four lock system elements had to be moved out of the dry dock on Refshaleøen, it said. This was necessary as the fourth element obstructed the passage for the other three. Finally, the fourth element was moved back into the dry dock for completion.

GAC to support Total E&P’s drilling project in S. Africa
