JFD Pact with Aquacentrum Den Helder

The subsea operations and engineering company JFD has signed a strategic partnership with Netherlands-based Aquacentrum Den Helder to provide submarine escape training.Aquacentrum Den Helder combines submarine escape training, commercial diving training and recreational pools for public use within a single building. JFD is a part of James Fisher and Sons plc.The partnership between JFD and Aquacentrum Den Helder will allow both new and existing submarine operating nations to train their submariners in escape and abandonment in the most realistic environment possible. James Fisher Buys Lexmar

James Fisher has acquired the entire share capital of Lexmar Engineering Pte Limited and Lexmar Sat Systems Pte Limited (together 'Lexmar'). Lexmar, which was founded in 1996 in Singapore and a specialist providing diving equipment, will become part of JFD and will enhance JFD's saturation diving capability and offering. Together JFD and Lexmar will improve the regional support and capability to defence markets within the Asia Pacific region. The business, complementary to JFD’s specialist technical division, is currently completing three 18 man twin bell saturation diving systems. They are currently in the process of undertaking installation and commissioning in China and will commence the third system in Singapore early 2017.

JFD Debuts Bailout Rebreather System to Safeguard Divers Lives

JFD, the leading global subsea operations and engineering company, part of James Fisher and Sons plc, has today announced the launch of its new Compact Bailout Rebreathing Apparatus (COBRA) for commercial divers, as a direct response to the urgent need for significant improvements in safety in the saturation diving industry. The system significantly extends the duration of the supply of emergency breathing gas, delivering 45 minutes of emergency life support at a depth of 120 meters. A conventional open-circuit 300 bar twinset bailout system will deliver only seven minutes at that depth. The extended emergency breathing gas supply significantly improves the likelihood of a successful rescue in the event of an emergency.

DOF Subsea, Seaway Extend Contract

DOF Subsea, provider of integrated subsea solutions, has been awarded a Master Service Agreement (MSA) extension with Seaway Heavy Lifting for the provision of positioning services onboard its Stanislav Yudin and Oleg Strashnov crane vessels. DOF Subsea offers services to third parties across the globe through its survey and positioning division. New MD for Hallin’s West Division

Hallin Marine, a Superior Energy Services Company, has appointed a new managing director for its West Division as it grows the capability and assets of its Aberdeen-based operation. Hallin has promoted Giovanni Corbetta to the Managing Director’s role after he distinguished himself as the division’s projects director. Giovanni has strong, industry-wide experience and is considered ideal to lead Hallin’s expansion in the region as it continues its growth from ROV operations to an integrated subsea contractor. Hallin’s West Division has successfully operated a large fleet of ROV vehicles in the northern hemisphere and is emulating the success of the company’s Singapore-based East Division as it adds specialist DP2 vessels, saturation and air diving and engineering to its offering.
