Keppel O&M to Pay US$422m to Resolve Petrobras Issue

Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel Corporation or Keppel) today confirmed that KOM has reached a global resolution with criminal authorities in the United States, Brazil and Singapore in relation to corrupt payments made by KOM's former agent in Brazil,  Zwi Skornicki. As part of the global resolution, KOM has accepted a conditional warning from the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in Singapore, and entered into a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), while Keppel FELS Brasil, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KOM, has reached a Leniency Agreement with the Public Prosecutor's Office in Brazil, the Ministério Público Federal (MPF).

NParks, Keppel in S$2.08 mln Partnership for Restoring Singapore Forest Wetlands

The National Parks Board (NParks) and Keppel Corporation today unveiled plans for a partnership to restore the freshwater forest wetland ecosystem historically found in the vicinity of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Located in the upcoming Learning Forest extension, the restored 1.8 hectare forest wetland will enhance the biodiversity found there, and for the very first time, provide educational opportunities for the public to access and experience a freshwater forest wetland habitat, right in the heart of the city. Keppel Corporation has committed S$2.08 million to the Garden City Fund (GCF) to support the forest wetland restoration efforts. In recognition of Keppel Corporation's contribution, the restored freshwater forest wetland will be named the Keppel Discovery Wetlands.

Keppel's Independent Director Leong-Chee to retire

Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel Corporation) announced that Mr Tony Chew Leong-Chee, Non-Executive and Independent Director, will be retiring from the Board of Directors of Keppel Corporation on 1 May 2015. Mr Chew will concurrently cease to be Chairman of the Nominating Committee and member of the Audit Committee. Dr Lee Boon Yang, Chairman of Keppel Corporation said, "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Tony for his contributions during his 13 years of distinguished service. The Keppel Group has benefited from his extensive business experience, wisdom and entrepreneurial spirit. Tony was Lead Independent Director from 2006 to 2009 and has been Chairman of the Nominating Committee since 2009.

Keppel Appoints Vestring to its Board

Mr Vestring, 50, is a partner in Bain & Company's (Bain) Southeast Asia office. Of his 24-year career with Bain, Mr Vestring has spent over two decades in Asia advising leading companies on portfolio strategy, growth, mergers and acquisitions, merger integration, organisation and performance improvement. The companies he has advised include those in shipping, offshore & marine, industrial products, automotive, infrastructure, commodities, airlines and telecoms. Mr Vestring works closely with Asian and multinational companies to grow organically and inorganically across Asia. He is also part of Bain's Developing Market 100 initiative that partners high-growth companies in developing markets on the journey towards global leadership. and Bangkok.

Keppel's Senior Executive Director to Retire

Keppel Corporation Limited announced that Teo Soon Hoe, Senior Executive Director, Keppel Corporation will retire June 1, 2014. Teo will step down as Chairman of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T) and non-independent director of Keppel Infrastructure Fund Management Pte Ltd (KIFM), Trustee Manager of Keppel Infrastructure Trust, with effect from the same date. Teo will continue to represent Keppel Corporation as its nominee director on the boards of Tianjin Eco-city companies, and k1 Ventures Limited. Further, Keppel Land Limited (Keppel Land) and Keppel T&T have appointed him as Senior Advisor to their respective boards and he will also continue to represent Keppel T&T as its nominee director on the board of M1 Limited.

Keppel Charts The Next Lap Of Growth

The Board and Management of Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel Corp) has announced  the Group's holistic succession plan in charting its next lap of growth. On 1 January 2014, Mr Choo Chiau Beng, 65, CEO of Keppel Corp, will be succeeded by CFO Mr Loh Chin Hua. At Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), Mr Tong Chong Heong, 66, will be succeeded by COO Mr Chow Yew Yuen as CEO with effect from 1 February 2014. Mr Choo and Mr Tong will be appointed as Senior Advisors to the respective Boards of Keppel Corp, and Keppel O&M and Keppel Infrastructure, thereafter. The Company will make an announcement on the appointment of the new CFO for Keppel Corp at an appropriate time.

Keppel Sets Up Charitable Foundation

Keppel Corporation launch Keppel Care Foundation Limited to help the needy & under-privileged, promote education & encourage eco-friendly initiatives. The Keppel Group of Companies (Keppel) will commit up to S$50 million over the next ten years to the Foundation. Provide relief from human suffering and improve the standard of human life by the prevention, combating and treatment of sickness and disease. Former President of the Republic of Singapore, Mr S R Nathan, launched the Keppel Care Foundation today at a fundraising concert to celebrate Keppel Offshore & Marine's 10th anniversary. At the launch, President Nathan also witnessed the presentation of cheques from the Foundation totalling S$6.7 million.

Keppel Corporation Appoints New Board Director

Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tan Puay Chiang (陈培璋) as Independent Director on the Board with effect from June 20, 2012. Mr Tan, 65, is a veteran in the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector. During his 38-year career with Mobil Oil and later ExxonMobil, he held executive management roles in Australia, Singapore and the United States. These included the positions of Vice-President, Mobil Research & Technology Corp, USA and Chairman & Managing Director of Mobil Oil Australia. Mr Tan retired as Chairman, ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co in 2008. Dr Lee Boon Yang, Chairman, Keppel Corporation, said, "We welcome Puay Chiang to the Board. ‘Torch of Passion’ Guides Clipper Race Fleet into Keppel Bay

A Singapore welcome greeted the international fleet of 10 in the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race as they sailed into Marina at Keppel Bay over the weekend to rousing cheers from Singaporeans, families and residents of Keppel Bay.
